Elina Heikka at the Finnish Museum of Photography in Helsinki, Professor Anna Fox and Maria Kapajeva, from the University for the Creative Arts (UCA, UK), have organized the fourth research workshop for the Fast Forward 2 International Networks project. This next workshop, at this key international photography museum, includes significant and early career professionals from the fields of photography, art, curation, education and gender studies to discuss new perspectives on women in photography, the education system and curatorial perspectives.

Invited guests and presenters will discuss new developments and share information valuable for future projects with the aim of advocating for women photographers to have a stronger position in the world of photography.

The Finnish Museum of Photography will be hosting the TransEurope portfolio reviews straight after the workshop and workshop participants will have the opportunity to see new work from across Europe as well as expand their networks with invited portfolio reviewers.
