Our values of being Student-centred, Focused on specialist creative communities, Critical in our thinking, Professional and Progressive define us and guide decision-making and behaviour.

In addition to our core Higher Education, Further Education and successful creative and professional short courses, the College also runs a number of Young Creatives Art courses on a Saturday aimed at children between the ages of 7 and 18 (http://www.leeds-art.ac.uk/study/childrens-art-school/). The Children’s Art School runs during the school holidays and on Saturdays during term-time. Our timetable is based on school term and holiday dates set by Leeds City Council.

Due to high levels of demand we require additional Associate Lecturers to teach on our popular Portfolio Development course.

The Children’s Art School consists of 6 term-time sessions per year, as well as half term, summer, Easter and summer sessions. Term-time sessions run each Saturday over a period of 5 weeks. Each term-time session takes place between 1.00pm and 3.30pm and lasts for 2.5 hours. Our holiday sessions are longer, with work being allocated on a daily or weekly basis. In addition to the contact time, you will also be paid for 30 mins admin time per hour of contact. Fixed term contracts will be offered for each course, and each contract is subject to sufficient numbers of student enrolment.

Applicants should have a degree level qualification in the relevant area, experience of teaching and the ability to teach the practical skills in the subject area. A recognised teaching qualification would be desirable.
