THEME: DOCUMENT
Fòcas are inviting emerging photographers based in Scotland and India to submit their work on the theme ‘Document’.
From street to long-term documentary, from personal to political, and from conceptual to mobile, Fòcas are looking for photography from all genres that makes visible compelling narratives, perspectives and experiences of the world around us.
All submissions will be considered for a great range of awards including touring exhibitions in Scotland and India, commissions, publication, mentoring and sponsored prizes.
30 shortlisted photographers feature in our digital galleries, live projections and journal.
10 winners tour 17 venues in Scotland and India. Including: Trongate 103 with Street Level Photoworks (Glasgow, Scotland) and the National Institute of Design (Gandhinagar, India).
6 will be awarded digital commissions supported by British Council and Creative Scotland of £500 / ₹41,500 INR each with a touring exhibition and book.
