We are seeking a new appointment to lead AUB’s well-established undergraduate course in Photography. The ideal candidate will be a specialist in contemporary photographic practice, an experienced academic leader and active researcher.

The BA (Hons) Photography course is a longstanding and internationally renowned undergraduate course. It introduces students to a broad range of ideas and contexts, responding directly to the expansive nature of contemporary photographic practice. Research informed creative practice is key to the learning process which is centred on the individual learner. The course is supported by a highly experienced team of photographic specialists and boasts a state of the art range of studio and darkroom facilities, supporting both analogue and digital resources.

The successful candidate will be qualified to PhD or have equivalent industry experience, evidenced through being a recognised authority in the subject with internal and external peers as well as having a detailed knowledge and deep understanding of the subject’s processes and practices.  Candidates from outside of academia must be able to demonstrate the ability to make the transition to becoming a leading academic. They will also hold a teaching qualification and ideally have FHEA Membership or being willing to obtain this upon appointment.
