Exhibitions Project Manager

You have already proved that you can deliver temporary exhibition projects on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards – so join our ambitious team here at Royal Museums Greenwich. It’s a great opportunity to take your career forward with us, as well as enjoying this inspiring location with the National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House, Royal Observatory Greenwich and Cutty Sark set within a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Your focus will be on our spectacular 800m² Special Exhibitions Gallery, part of the new Sammy Ofer Wing, that hosts two large scale temporary exhibitions every year. It’s a truly varied role that will see you manage a wide range of projects from object-rich displays of historic artefacts to fine art and photography shows, plus exciting experiences for family audiences. You’ll not only take ownership of each project right from concept development to design, build, installation and post-opening maintenance, but be responsible for touring exhibitions too.

An excellent communicator and collaborative teamworker, you can build strong relationships with colleagues across the museum, as well as external partners and consultants. You also have the proven ability to manage contractors and deliver touring exhibitions. While a Prince 2 or equivalent qualification would be welcomed, you must bring a good knowledge of relevant legislation, along with a real passion for engaging and delighting audience from all ages and of all backgrounds.
