Imago Lisboa – photo festival is pleased to announce an Open Call for photographers from all over the world. Imago Lisboa challenge you to submit your project if it fits the theme: The Family in Transition.

With the growth of democracies, the affirmation of new types of family have been witnessed, which it is important to reflect on and contribute to a growing acceptance. Thus, from the everyday life of so-called traditional families, to gay, multicultural or single-parent families, all projects are welcome.

The 3rd edition of Imago Lisboa photo festival, intends to give continuity to a regular event that enhances the different contemporary photographic practices. One of the themes for next edition will be “The Family In Transition” that will be shown in one of the main venues of the festival in the city of Lisbon.

The festival, that takes place through the month of October in various museums and galleries of the city, has already gained recognized prestige among expertise and the public.

Parallel to the exhibitions, a set of actions are planned to encourage and engage new audiences: The set of programmed activities seeks, naturally and primarily, to target an audience more associated to the photographic medium.
