London Transport Museum wants to appoint our first Khadija Saye Photography Fellow to support and photograph aspects of the work of the museum over the course of a yearlong professional development programme. The Khadija Saye Photography Fellow will be part of a team which will also include 6 Young Freelancers specialising in engagement and delivery and a Young People’s Programme Apprentice.

This Fellowship was set up in memory of Khadija Saye who worked as a Young Freelancer at LTM at the time of her death in June 2017. Khadija was an inspiring activist, photographer, artist and educator just at the beginning of her career. This programme seeks to support more young people, who share Khadija’s drive and ambition, into their careers in arts and culture.

The Khadija Saye Photography Fellowship is a development role for any young person aged 18-25 who is passionate about photography, creative learning and museums.

This Fellowship is designed to offer a flexible and alternative route for young people into a photography career. Reflecting the growing number of freelance opportunities in photography, it trains young people to build the confidence, skills and understanding to independently embark on a freelance, self-employed career as photographers.

The fellowship is paid a freelance rate of £12.25 per hour for the roles they take on and are paid a training rate for the training they undertake on the programme.
