The WOPHA Research Fellowship supports two exemplary research initiatives by emerging and established authors who examine themes related to women and non-binary voices in photography. The program facilitates the writing of scholarly essays that engage with primary and secondary sources. WOPHA invites applications from authors employing diverse methods and literary styles, including critical, theoretical, speculative, philosophical, historical, and autobiographical approaches. The fellowship aims to assist authors by funding the production of an essay while providing opportunities for mentorship, networking, and publication of innovative scholarship on women and non-binary photographers.
