The following call for applications towards a Photobook Grant, invites work from South Asia. It aims to present a project that takes the form of an engaged visual narrative, spanning the autobiographical and the inspired.
The Alkazi Foundation for the Arts is looking for an exceptional manifested photo narrative from South Asia. They invite book projects emphasising how meanings are constructively shaped by the images interactions with one another, forging an inventive language and innovative form that may well be linked to regional specificities or local/personal histories.
Recent developments in the photobook have shown how photographers move beyond the role of illustrators or factual transmitters. Applicants are encouraged to share projects around any theme and present it in the form of a physical (if possible in due course) and/or digital dummy for consideration.
