Present your portfolio for free at The Photographers’ Gallery

Folio Friday – December 1

Each month 12 photographers can sign up to present their work to our audiences at these open portfolio afternoons in our Eranda Studio. Deliberately different from a portfolio review, these sessions are programmed with both photographers and the gallery’s wide variety of visitors in mind.

Folio Friday sessions begin with a social lunch (provided free of charge for all participating photographers) and a short introduction to the day, as well as talks from resident host Steve Macleod, Director at Metro Imaging, and guest presenter Kim Shaw (photographer and Director of Photofusion).

Schedule:

11.30 Photographers arrive to set up

12.00 Lunch & presentation by Steve and Kim

13.00 Photographers meet each other

14.00 Studio opens to the public

17.00 Event ends

Each photographer gets a 80x120cm table on which to present their work in print, publication or digital form. Photographers are advised to pick a selection of up to 20 photos or one or two projects to show and discuss with gallery audiences. If you book a space, you’ll be sent a preparation email 3-5 days prior to the event and encouraged to self-promote using #FolioFriday on social media.

Free for photographers to present.

Please note: If you have presented at Folio Friday already in the past two years, please leave the space for another photographer/artist.
