One artist/writer will be commissioned to produce the content for a zine publication. This will reflect on the talks and act as an archive and record of the symposium.
The zine will be printed and donated to organisations, institutes and galleries. A free pdf will be available to download from Andrea Allan’s website.
You do not need to have attended all the talks live, as you will be able to access them all via Youtube after the last talk.
As part of the commission the selected artist/writer will have a meeting with Artists Union England, to add a new section into their Good Practice Charter, that focuses on what support/considerations should be given to parent artists. This meeting will take place via zoom.
To apply you will need:
- A pitch of no more than 300 words outlining how you would approach this commission.
- A short description about who you are and why the topic is important to you (maximum 150 words)
- For writers – please provide examples of your writing.
- For artists – please provide examples of artwork, any writing you’ve done, any publications you’ve been involved in.
- Brief bio (maximum 100 words)
