Only one out of every four photographers employed by photography agencies is a woman. In 2015, women photographers made 29 percent less than men photographers on average. In the previous decade, just 22% of photographers exhibiting their work in museums or galleries were women.
The goal is to establish a forum for female photographers to expose their work to a wide range of audiences through an online exhibition, therefore eliminating gender inequity and underrepresentation in the area of photography.
