This publication sees collaboration at its most harmonious – where collage meets photography. Although this new commission I Close My Eyes, Then I Drift Away sees de Blauwer’s work with images taken by François Halard – she creates new collages that create a sense of universality and new possibilities. Through the new compositions formed by cutting, painting and re-assembly de Blauwer creates subtle forms and delicate narratives all of which reanimate the images once more.
