Over 20 photographers representing several generations of artists throughout the last 3 centuries, highlighting Georgia’s very rich and complex history of photography. The exhibition “In and Out of Reality” is divided in two volumes. Volume I covers the period starting from the end of 19th century – the debut of the history of photography in Georgia known as the Golden Age of the medium – till the end of the 90’s, after the collapse of the soviet regime that gave birth to the so called New Wave. Volume II puts together theworks of the Millennial generation, the artistic scene of the 21st century.The exhibition features works of: Dimitry Ermakov collection, Gigo Gabashvili, Shalva Alkhanaidze, Guram Tikanadze, Rezo Kezeli, Soviet Photojournalism, GuramTsibakhashvili, Natela Grigalashvili, David Meskhi, Tinatin Kiguradze, Zurab Arabidze, Anka Gujabidze, Nata Sopromadze, Tako Robakidze, Rita Khachaturiani, Gvanca Jishkariani, Andro Eradze and more. In and out of reality is the result of a collaborative process between TAF and The TbilisiPhoto Festival.
