SEEEU 2025 are launching the first SEEEU Photo Essay Award, dedicated to outstanding photographic storytelling that reflects on European realities today.  Applicants are invited to submit 15-30 images taken within the last five years anywhere in Europe along with a short narrative statement.

The festival, which will take place from 23rd October to 23rd November 2025, will bring together diverse European talent to Tokyo and foster new professional and creative opportunities for European and Japanese artists.

Exhibitions will be held in public spaces in Tokyo, exploring new forms of display. The exhibitions are followed by networking events, panel talks, Photojournalism Awards, art auction for Ukraine, photowalks and portfolio reviews.
