La Vienísima announces the SIXTH FEMINIST PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST PERSPEKTIV_A. The theme for the sixth contest is Women and Tradition.

Giving visibility to the relationship between women and tradition is essential to understanding how cultural identities are constructed, transmitted and transformed over time. Historically, women have been the custodians of knowledge, practices and collective memory, playing a central role in preserving social, family and cultural traditions. However, their contributions have often been confined to the private sphere or portrayed through stereotyped perspectives that fail to reflect the complexity of their experiences. Exploring “TRADITION” from a feminist perspective makes it possible to question imposed roles, highlight forms of resistance and reveal how women reinterpret, redefine or even break away from the traditions that shape their lives.
