Hasselblad Foundation Nature Photography Grant

In line with Victor Hasselblad’s strong interest in nature and environmental issues, the Hasselblad Foundation has awarded a Nature Photography Grant since 2008 to promote the development of nature photography as a genre in the Nordic region.

The grant supports innovative photographic explorations of nature, the environment, and landscapes in projects that also contribute to the development of nature photography as a genre. Previously awarded every two years, the grant will be awarded annually from 2026 onwards.

In the evaluation process, particular emphasis is placed on: originality and creativity the project’s focus on current environmental issues focus on biodiversity human impact on nature and climate collaborations and interdisciplinary perspectives

Applicants must be citizens of a Nordic country or citizens of another country with permanent residence in a Nordic country.
