Mampala Foto Lubumbashi is an emerging photography festival established in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo. A true crossroads of creation, this event is defined as a dynamic platform for promotion, meeting and exchange dedicated to local and international photographers.

The theme for this year’s open call is Root. Mampala Photo Lubumbashi invites you to explore the depths of identity, origins and memory. Through your lens, examine the ties that bind us to our history and our land. Here, photography is seen as a tool for exploration, documenting the past to better illuminate our present.
