A Geography of Siege at Ragged School Museum, London

Curated by Vali Mahlouji, A Geography of Siege brings together still and moving images produced under conditions of rupture, displacement, exhaustion and repetition. The exhibition understands siege not simply as a military or political event, but as a mode of organisation that extends beyond territory into language, intimacy, architecture, and the symbolic structures through which subjects orient themselves within the world.

Works by Goshka Macuga, Jananne Al-Ani, Edmund Clark, Hrair Sarkiss, Tarlan Lotfizadeh, Vali Mahlouji, Tahmineh Monzavi, and Simon Moretti.

This exhibition is part of Photograph Arts PhotoMonth 2026, which includes 35 exhibitions all across the city of London throughout October, including shows at major art institutions, independent galleries and venues, and community spaces by independent practioners.
