Bristol Photo Festival is an international biennial of contemporary photography. Entitled Time Machine, the 2026 edition of the festival explores how we inhabit layered time. It focuses on overlooked histories, shared rituals and imagined futures. Throughout the programme photography will become a space where memory, fiction, and possibility coexist, allowing multiple timelines to unfold within each frame.

Highlights of this years festival include Joy Gregory’s Catching Flies with Honey at the Arnolfini, Dark Tales at Martin Parr Foundation and Persistence Studies by Sheida Soleimani at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery.
