Dear Artist, We Regret to Tell You… – Dana Stirling
As artists we all face that dreaded moment of opening your email to a promising subject line, just to find the words “Dear artist…We regret to tell you…”. Although we all know rejection is a big part of the art world, it can still feel like a life shattering moment. So although no one can teach you how to be “successful” we can embrace these struggles, understand that we all go through them and find creative and productive ways to not only overcome it but create our own opportunities.
This session aims to show you how to look beyond the call for entry, be more proactive and take control over your own path in the art world.
Dana Stirling is a still life photographer, curator and the Co-Founder & Editor In-Chief of Float Photo Magazine. She is based in Queens, New York City.
