London Migration Film Festival

The 10th edition of London Migration Film Festival takes place from 27 November – 3 December 2025 at a number of venues across London – cinemas, universities, community spaces, cafes and more.

The festival includes fiction, short and documentary films focusing on the intersection of migration with a wide range of themes – from climate emergency to the (re-)emergence of the far right; from parenthood to friendships and solidarity, this year’s programme delves into emerging issues of our time, as well as into long lasting struggles, such as the issues faced by people fleeing Syria, Sudan and Afghanistan.

With the aim of portraying the diversity and humanity of migration, the film selection deliberately reflects the many forms in which migration takes place.

London Migration Film Festival includes both films by established artists and directors as well as films by lesser known filmmakers who use new perspectives to analyse migration and refugee issues. In order to raise the profile and provide a platform for migrant filmmakers, the festival includes films that were directed, produced and starred in by migrants.

London Migration Film Festival is organised by Migration Collective. Founded in April 2016, Migration Collective is a group of dynamic and creative women based in London, each holding academic interest in and personal experiences of migration. Their unique projects, events and activities tackle the intersection of art, academia and action in order to challenge the mainstream rhetoric on migration.
