An ongoing series of publications, Shutter Hub’s City Series sets out to explore the people, places, and cultures that shape cities around the world, showcasing images that respond to a place not as a fixed subject, but as an idea shaped by experience, observation, and interpretation.

The inaugural edition explores a city that has been home to nearly a dozen Shutter Hub exhibitions – Cambridge.

Rather than defining Cambridge by landmarks or narratives, Shutter Hub invite photographers to approach the city openly, perhaps through people, atmosphere, details, routines, abstractions, or moments that feel personal or unexpected. Your work might reflect stillness or movement, history or immediacy, structure or ambiguity – or something entirely your own.
