The CCI + WOPHA Fellowship is open to emerging and mid-career women and nonbinary photographers from the Caribbean or its diaspora. During the fellowship period, the selected CCI + WOPHA Fellow will focus on the production of a new body of work or on expanding an ongoing project. Together, CCI + WOPHA will provide institutional support as well as access to their curatorial resources and networks. The fellow will be able to develop their photographic practice through research, mentorship and engagement with the local art community.* The CCI + WOPHA Fellowship also offers opportunities for collaboration with Green Space Miami and active engagement with the academic community at FIU-LACC.

The 2026 CCI + WOPHA Fellowship will run from September through November and follow a hybrid format combining in-person and remote participation. The Fellowship will include a residency period in Miami at El Espacio 23 during the month of September. The CCI + WOPHA Fellow will receive a stipend and production funds of up to $4,000 depending upon the needs of the project. If the selected fellow is not currently based in Miami, CCI + WOPHA will provide round-trip airfare to Miami.
