The Yale Center for British Art is seeking an Associate Director of Research to play a leading role in developing scholarly initiatives and programs.

The post holder will play an instrumental role in fostering the Center’s research culture and building its reputation for scholarship.

Job Scope and Purpose
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Research, Exhibitions, and Publications, the Associate Director of Research is based in the Research Department, part of the larger Division that includes Exhibitions and Publications. This Division supports and provides oversight to the following areas: exhibitions and publications; research, education, and public programs; academic outreach and teaching initiatives; the Yale-in-London study abroad program; visiting scholars; postdoctoral, postgraduate, and student positions; the Reference Library and Archives; and the development of the website presentation of all the above areas.
