We are seeking a new appointment to lead AUB’s well-established undergraduate course in Photography. The ideal candidate will be an experienced academic leader, a subject specialist and active researcher in an area of contemporary photographic practice.
The BA (Hons) Photography course is a long standing and internationally renowned experimental photography course. It introduces students to a broad range of ideas and contexts, responding directly to the expansive nature of contemporary photographic practice. Research informed creative practice is key to the learning process which is centred on the individual learner. Arts University Bournemouth is a resource rich learning environment and the photographic resources, both analogue and digital, are outstanding.
The successful candidate will be qualified to Doctorate level and be able to provide evidence of ongoing research activity. They will also hold a teaching qualification and ideally have FHEA Membership or being willing to obtain this upon appointment.
