Curator of the Archive of Documentary Arts

Duke University Library is looking for a Curator who provides dynamic and innovative leadership for the Archive of Documentary Arts (ADA), one of several specialized subject areas within the Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library. The Curator builds distinctive collections of photographs, moving images, audio recordings, and other formats through purchases and gifts; integrates the collections into academic programs through teaching and reference consultation; develops public programs, exhibits and outreach activities related to ADA collections; participates in financial development for the Archive, and supports departments that describe and facilitate access to the collections.

Required: Advanced degree in a relevant discipline, (American Studies, Art History, History, Liberal Studies, Archives Administration, Museum Studies, Photography or Film Studies, etc.), MLS from an ALA-accredited program or combination of experience and academic degree appropriate for the position.
