Open call for young and promising artists in the field of contemporary art photography organized by Photon Gallery – Centre for Contemporary Photography from Ljubljana. The first prize is € 1,000 for the production and solo exhibition at Photon Gallery. The selected ten artists will present their work at the group exhibition in Ljubljana, Vienna and elsewhere!

The call is open to artists up to 35 years of age (including those born in 1982) who work in the CEE region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia) or who come from these states and work abroad.

There is no prescribed theme for the call. We accept the works in the wide range of photography and photography-related practices (photography, photomontage, photo-collage, photo-installation, appropriation of found photographs, etc.). The jury will evaluate higher those works which exhibit originality, unconventionality and innovation both in the formal approach as well as with regard to themes and concepts!
