FORM Fringe will coincide with FORMAT International Photography Festival 2019 – A world renowned festival which reaches both a global and local audience from it’s base in Derby.

FORMAT Fringe will consist of a series of exhibitions, events and a photobook stall – alongside other festival exhibitions and in association with FORMAT.

The Open Call invites artists interested in working collaboratively to join FORM at Derby Fringe and benefit from peer support, critical feedback and opportunity to exhibit.

Responding to a wide ranging notion of ‘form’ individual artists are invited to submit their own interpretations, each presenting a series of photographic based images, which consider form on a personal, societal or political level.

The work of the 12 participating artists, made up of FORM members and the winners of the open call, will be curated into an exhibition in Derby.

As this is focused on professional development, current undergraduate students are not eligible.
