Future Photobook Award

A new prize for emerging photographers, the inaugural Future Photobook Award invites submissions for review by a panel of judges with the winner re-imagining their work as an exhibition.

The award is open to anyone over 18 who is currently studying, or has recently graduated from, a Higher Education institution.

All subjects and all photographic interactions with the page welcomed! Zine-like photo diaries? Sure! Handmade Artist’s Book with images? Yup! Laserjet printed and stapled photo-essay? Why not? Cloth-bound coptic stitched photographic fiction? Of course!

All entrants will receive feedback from the Book As… team, Emma Lambert (Silvergrass Press) or Matt Johnston (Photobooks & ) and an invitation to further discussion about their publishing goals. In support of small and independent publishing, shortlisted works will be invited to participate in a future Book As … event.

The winner will receive a personalised portfolio review with each of the judges to help them develop their creative ideas in the form of an exhibition at a venue in Coventry.

The Future Photobook Award is a project from the MA Photography team at Coventry University:
