Who can apply?
Photographers and artists working with photography, coming from any country from which travelling to Latvia is allowed under current regulations. There are no limitations regarding age, background or photographic style. The residents will be chosen based on their applications and fit to the residency calendar.
Thanks to our cooperation partner kuš!, the residency also hosts illustrators and comics artists – if you are one or the other and want to come to Riga, get in touch with kuš! through their website.

Duration and timing
We are now accepting applications for the period of stay between January and June 2021.
While in normal circumstances, the residency stays vary from 1 to 2 calendar months, due to the current Covid-19 self-isolation requirements, we highly recommend a stay of 2, possibly 3 calendar months, in order to be able to make proper use of the stay. Stays of 1 month can still be possible, depending on individual preferences and residency schedule.
NB! The residency calendar is based on full month slots, so in case you leave earlier than end of the month, the monthly fee will still apply.
