Leeds Trinity University’s School of Arts and Communication brings together staff expertise across a range of disciplines, has excellent industry links and a strong focus on the development of employability skills in our students. Our BA Photography is a new addition to the Leeds Trinity University portfolio and will run alongside the existing long-established media and journalism programmes which have built up an outstanding reputation over many years. The course will begin in September 2018 – and will equip students with a wide range of practical photography skills alongside an appreciation of the craft of photography.
The School has an exciting opportunity therefore for an enthusiastic and highly-skilled practitioner to join its teaching team, to act as programme co-ordinator and to help to shape this new programme, further enhance our collaboration with industry and nurture our practical, academic and research expertise in this area.
We are looking to appoint a lecturer with excellent practitioner experience as well as a strong grasp of the skills and techniques required to meet the demands of employers in the fast-growing digital sector. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of the most up-to-date working practices. We need a team member who understands the benefits of collaborative working with a broad variety of industry partners, who can keep our programme fresh and at the cutting-edge of industry developments by working with our programme-dedicated employer advisory group and who will work to develop new links for the benefit of our students, graduate employability and our research expertise.
