The School of the Arts is seeking to make a number of key appointments in the Art, Design and Media area including a Lecturer in Photography.
A strong industry record and a current working knowledge of processes and technologies relevant to the field of Photography is essential. Experience in delivering both practical and critical curriculum components would be highly desirable. We would welcome interest from practicing professionals who would like to apply for this role and consideration will be given to appointable candidates who may be interested in either a full or part-time role.
As a Lecturer, you will be part of a high-performing team of academics committed to the delivery of quality programmes at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level with a specific focus on achieving excellence in the student learning experience. Your duties will include course delivery, contribution to course/programme and module developments. You will also play a key role in student engagement and satisfaction whilst providing academic and personal support to students at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. You will also contribute to research/enterprise activities in the area of Art, Design and Media.
Applicants for this role should hold an Undergraduate and Master’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent. Ideally, the successful candidate will have completed a PhD/MPhil/Professional Doctorate in a related area or be willing to be supported to achieve this. You will also need a teaching qualification or equivalent (or willingness to achieve this).
