Applications are invited for the above post to contribute mainly to their BA (Hons) Commercial Photography course. The course provides a student centred learning environment where bold and innovative approaches to the broad study of creatively focused commercial photography aim to challenge existing boundaries of contemporary photographic practice.

The post is advertised at both Lecturer and Senior Lecturer level. However, they are only recruiting to one post and the level of appointment will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The post holder will be enthusiastic and well informed about the broad area of specialist and contemporary practices within photography, though having specific working knowledge of fashion photography, including professional experience, practical photographic studio ability and an awareness of contemporary contexts and debates.

You will also be flexible in your approach to photographic education and open to development and training within the discipline.

The successful candidate will be capable of managing the effective learning of students through Unit Leadership, devising briefs, delivering inspiring lectures, seminars and workshops, and active involvement in the assessment process.

You will have relevant photographic experience in Higher Education and hold a Masters Degree level qualification. You will also hold a teaching qualification or Higher Education Academy (HEA) Fellowship Membership or be willing to work towards gaining these qualifications within two years of being recruited to the post.
