Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Photography (ART) 0.5FTE (18.5 hpw)

We are looking for a part time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (18.5 hours per week) to teach on all levels of the course and to contribute to the developing research profile of the team. You will contribute to the effective management and organisation of the BA (Hons) Photography course and undertake administrative responsibilities within the module teams. Additional Masters supervision and support is also required. As a confident practitioner or educator with good interpersonal skills, you should be able to relate to students and engage them in the subject area.

Committed to working in a team to deliver high quality Photography education, you will have an in depth understanding of Photographic principles and practice.

Experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage:

  • Photography as art practice and related research methodology
  • Photography as commercial practice and related research methodology
  • Technical aspects of digital and analogue processes including digital film making
  • Historical and theory of photography or digital film making
  • Contemporary photographic workflow

Candidates must be educated to a minimum of Degree level in Photography, Fine Art or a Film/Photo based subject. You must also have a willingness to complete HEA level 2 in professional Recognition (if not already held) within 3 years of appointment.
