Manchester Independents (MI) is seeking 6 Artist Advisors. They will join a panel to advise on and select commissions for new works from Greater Manchester artists to form part of the Manchester Independents programme in 2023; they will shape the overall MI23 programme, including branding and communications; and will advise sister project, Greater Manchester Artist Hub, on a series of discussions and networking events.

Artist Advisors will receive a fee of £1000 for approximately 5 days work, spread out over 12 months. including meetings, branding workshops, reading/selecting applications and other forms of feedback.

Applicants should:

• be based in Greater Manchester
• have an established track record in their artform (at least 3 years of professional practice)
• some curatorial or selection experience would be beneficial but not essential
