Anna Higson from the ongoing project Moment on show at Plas Glyn-y-Weddw until October 2026. Commissioned by Plas Glyn-y-Weddw and CELF.
FFYNNU Celf is a pilot residency and engagement programme developed by Plas Glyn-y-Weddw (arts centre and accredited museum), in north Wales that aims to explore how artists and communities can work together to understand and respond to climate change and climate justice in a rural and coastal context. This project is in partnership with GwyrddNi (community climate movement), and offers opportunities for artistic experimentation, reflection and positive climate action.
Through an application and selection process, FFYNNU Celf will host four separate artist residencies (two specifically for artists living in north Wales) between October 2026 and early March 2027. These are aimed at artists who are interested in or whose practice already connects with environmental, ecological or climate subjects. Each residency is designed to support artists living and working in Wales through mentorship, professional development, and opportunities to strengthen networks and sustainable creative practice. The emphasis is for artists to explore ideas and creative experimentation rather than focusing on producing fully resolved artworks.
