The City Series by Shutter Hub is an ongoing publishing project exploring the people, places, cultures, and contradictions that shape cities around the world. Rather than documenting a location as a fixed subject, the series invites photographers to respond to a city as an idea: something experienced, observed, imagined, and interpreted through the photographic eye.

For its second edition, Shutter Hub turns its attention to London in partnership with Battersea Power Supplies, a new museum and gift shop celebrating Battersea Power Station. Shutter Hub invites photographers from across the globe to contribute to a major publication celebrating one of the world’s most photographed, complex, and ever-changing cities.

Shutter Hub want to see London in all its forms: iconic and overlooked, monumental and intimate, historic and contemporary. From landmarks to backstreets, communities to individuals, rituals to routines, show us the city as you encounter it. Capture its energy, tensions, beauty, diversity, humour, ambition, and everyday life.
