Join Photoworks at Devonshire Collective for Queer Grounds a free programme of LGBTQ+ friendly creative workshops for young people aged 16 – 25 led by photographer Eva Louisa Jonas.
This is a photography club specifically supporting young people who identify as LGBTQ+ or unsure and their friends.
No previous experience or specialist kit is required. Photoworks provide everything you need. Workshops are designed to be playful and fun, with a focus on creativity and skills development.
Participants will use image-making to investigate collectivity as something living and connecting, visualising how people prop each other up, negotiate roles, navigate tensions, and sustain one another over time. Current examples of queer collectives will be used as material for exploration, with participants creating images that imagine care, collaboration, and shared working, approaching photography as a way of working within collective processes rather than observing them from the outside.
The workshops will take place from 23 March to June. To find out more and register please go to the direct link.
