The Natasha Caruana mentorship scheme is specifically aimed at women who are recent graduates, apprentices or who have been working within the arts for the past three years as a school leaver. Natasha encourages applications from those currently under-represented within the arts.
The scheme supports creative development, confidence and shines a light onto the working practices (successes and failures) of professional artists. You will leave with a support network of your fellow mentee, previous mentees and valuable practical knowledge on how to maintain your creative work.
Each year the mentorship evolves with Natasha’s schedule. In 2016 two mentors joined Natasha for a month in her South London studio. In 2017 Natasha was abroad for much of the year so the mentorship was carried out over skype with funds given for the mentor to carry out a personal project. For the 2018 Summer Mentorship two or three mentees will carry out a five day intensive residential programme staying in accommodation attached to Natasha’s studio.
The mentorship is project managed by her assistant Sarah Howe and funded by Natasha Caruana.
