The School of Art and Design brings together courses such as Advertising, Fashion Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Photography, Photography – Editorial and Advertising, Photojournalism and Documentary Photography as well as Visual Communication, within three subject groups, Art, Design & Photography.

The School incorporates undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD study with excellence in teaching.

The purpose of this role

Applications are sought for the position of Senior Lecturer and Academic Course Leader in photojournalism and documentary photography. In addition to practical vocational experience of working within the fields of photojournalism and document photography, the ideal candidate will have relevant under and post-graduate qualifications and university teaching experience and be ready to lead an academic course of study.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and passionate teacher-researcher in the areas of photojournalism and documentary photography to join us in achieving our strategic priorities. To be successful in your appointment you will have experience in curriculum development and teaching at both under- and postgraduate levels and be committed to leading an exciting, strong course of study. The candidate will have a record of high quality teaching at undergraduate level, including conceptual development of critical ideas and integrating theory and practice.
