Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff. Leeds Arts University has been formally recognised as the new title for Leeds College of Art, after being granted full university status by the Privy Council.

We are now looking to expand the course team and appoint two Senior Lecturers to support the Course Leader in the planning, designing, delivery and organisation of the programme. They will act initially as the Level Year Leader; as well as a Module Leader responsible for the quality and enhancement of the learning experiences within specific modules across the course and will work with the course team to support the general student experience. They will also contribute to the planning of enhancement activities such as educational visits and student exhibitions. Applicants must be able to demonstrate independence and competence in leading and managing the programme; and have ability to teach at all levels within the overall programme.
The successful candidates will need to have (or be willing to work towards achieving) a Masters qualification, have extensive knowledge and expertise as a contemporary practitioner of Photography. You will be required to engage with the University’s research agenda. You should have knowledge of lens based media digital equipment and software as well as proven knowledge of career paths and relevant industry contacts.
