Contract: Permanent (Full time)
The British Museum is seeking a Senior Photographer to join our team within the Collection Services Department. As Senior Photographer you will produce high quality digital imagery to meet a creative brief. An essential part of your role will be to upload images and enter data into the Museum database on specific digital imagery, whilst reporting any production issues to the Chief Photographer.
You will manage, advise and support the work of junior staff and volunteers. You will be responsible for collections security and object handling whilst objects are being photographed either in the studio; in galleries or on location.
As a Senior Photographer you will have strong experience of working in a professional photographic environment with advance knowledge of photographic processes and techniques. This role may require periods of fieldwork, and the successful candidate should be prepared to spend periods of up to several weeks away from London.
