Warrington & Vale Royal College is looking to recruit a dedicated, inspirational and specialist Lecturer to teach Media and Photography.
Warrington & Vale Royal College are seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual who can teach across a range of L1 to L5 courses – NCFE L1 & L2 Photography in addition to L1 – L5 BTEC Media. You will guide students to achieve excellent results through a variety of teaching and learning strategies. The successful candidate should have an up to date knowledge of the changes to vocational education and awarding bodies such as BTEC and NCFE.
Your skills will be broad and should include practical production techniques including camera, sound and lighting, post production techniques such as editing, motion graphics and visual effects, animation techniques, social media content production, web design and app development. Knowledge and experience in teaching film studies, media codes & conventions, scriptwriting techniques, storyboarding and pre-production processes.

You will be educated to Degree level in Media Production or a related subject and have a high degree of industry practice. You will ideally have a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification. Through the Taking Teaching Further programme, the College is able to recruit applicants with industry experience to retrain as FE teachers. The programme will provide funding for the cost of the teacher qualification and full mentor support, provided by the College.
