
Beyond the myth of Vivian Maier: Anne Morin puts one of the medium’s most elusive icons’ photographs centre stage
Vivian Maier – a mysterious nanny who took some of the best street photographs of the 20th century – captivated the world when her archive was first discovered in 2007. As the romance of Maier’s story started to overshadow her spectacular work, a major exhibition and new book set to readdress the balance. Curator Anne Morin shares the thinking behind the first UK exhibition Vivian Maier: Anthology and the creation of the recently released accompanying catalogue published by Thames & Hudson. Morin will also discuss the current exhibition of Maier’s work in Seoul.
