REMEDY. is the UK’s first photography festival dedicated to health, wellbeing and identity.
It presents contemporary photography exploring illness and care through long-term, collaborative projects between artists and people with lived experience.
Set across Lincolnshire’s towns and coastal communities, the festival connects audiences through exhibitions, public workshops and an open symposium that brings together researchers, practitioners and experts by experience.
The festival includes Rosie Barnes’ series No You’re Not at Seaview Colonnade, Sutton-on-Sea, where Barnes presents work that examines the often hidden or overlooked aspects of life for autistic women; and Cheryl Newman’s deeply personal projects, including Sick in Bed and Good Girl at St Martins Gallery, Lincoln, which interrogate themes of vulnerability, the female gaze, and family history.
