Toutes les choses qu’elles portent, curated by Katharina Holderegger, brings together four artist mothers from the US, Western Europe, and Eastern Europe, and reflects on what women carry today – not as something abstract or belonging to the past, but as something deeply alive: intimate, social, and symbolic. The works move between universal figures such as motherhood, care, and sacrifice, and the need to preserve a singular voice and a personal language. The show doesn’t offer idealized answers; it acknowledges interruptions, compromises, fatigue, and the complexity of real lives. It is very much a reading of the present: what women still carry, and how they continue to exist without disappearing as subjects.
